Germany Welcomes Azerbaijan’s Fuel Supply to Armenia

Berlin (Turkiya News): The German Foreign Ministry has welcomed Azerbaijan’s latest fuel shipment to Armenia, calling it a positive step.

Niklas Wagner, Director for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus, and Central Asia at the Foreign Ministry, stated on his X platform that this is the second supply in the past month, signaling progress toward normalizing trade relations in the region.

According to reports, 1,742 tons of A-95 petrol and 956 tons of diesel—a total of 2,698 tons (48 wagons)—were dispatched from Bilajari Station to Armenia yesterday.

Under the peace agenda between the two countries, fuel exports from Azerbaijan to Armenia began on December 18 last year, with the first shipment consisting of 1,220 tons of A-95 petrol.

This latest delivery is seen as a positive step toward restoring normal trade ties and promoting peace in the region.
