Istanbul (Turkey News): On the second day of Ramadan, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and First Lady Emine Erdogan attended an iftar at the home of the Ali and Miyas Kayacik family in the Beyoglu district.
According to the Presidential Office, the president and first lady spent time with the family in a home setting before the iftar. During the visit, President Erdogan was informed about the health condition of the family’s eldest son, Mustafa, and instructed relevant authorities to monitor his treatment regularly and provide necessary facilities.
Before breaking the fast, President Erdogan joined the family in prayer and later participated in the iftar meal. The gathering highlighted goodwill, solidarity, and social harmony in the spirit of Ramadan.
Citizens gathered outside the house during Erdogan’s arrival and departure warmly welcomed him, chanting slogans in support. The president greeted the crowd and exchanged brief remarks.
Later, First Lady Emine Erdogan thanked the Kayacik family on social media for their heartfelt hospitality, noting that Ramadan is a month for fostering empathy, brotherhood, and unity.
This iftar visit continues President Erdogan’s tradition of sharing Ramadan meals with different families, aiming to strengthen direct engagement with the public and promote social solidarity.
