Washington (Turkey News) – According to Azerbaijan’s state news agency, Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, said that the successful energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States over the past three decades has played a significant role in the development of the country’s energy sector.
He made these remarks while addressing the main session of an international conference held in Washington to mark the 30th anniversary of the U.S.-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce. The session was titled “Strengthening Bilateral Trade and Strategic Cooperation.” The conference also featured discussions on trade and business agendas between the United States and Azerbaijan.
In his speech, Najaf emphasized that American companies were among the earliest partners involved in Azerbaijan’s major oil and gas projects. He added that the foundation of this strong cooperation was laid with the signing of the Contract of the Century.
