Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Georgia foreign ministers stress regional cooperation in trilateral meeting

Istanbul (Turkey News Desk): The 10th trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye was held in Istanbul.

The meeting was attended by Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, and Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

According to Azerbaijan’s news agency, the participants emphasized the need for closer political coordination and cooperation in light of growing geopolitical tensions in the region, challenges in global supply chains, and economic uncertainty.

Speakers noted that this trilateral cooperation serves as an important platform for regional peace, stability, and development.

The meeting also highlighted major projects such as the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan oil pipeline, Baku–Tbilisi–Erzurum gas pipeline, the Southern Gas Corridor, and the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway as clear examples of successful partnership.

Discussions further described energy cooperation as a key pillar, noting that Azerbaijan is currently supplying natural gas to several countries. It was also stated that the expansion of gas agreements with Georgia and new deals between energy companies would further strengthen regional energy security.
