Lahore (Turkish News): The Election Tribunal has dismissed the petition challenging Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar’s victory in the general elections from NA-127.
According to private TV reports, Malik Zaheer Abbas Khokhar had challenged the minister’s electoral win, but the tribunal declared the petition baseless, frivolous, and not maintainable.
Malik Zaheer Abbas Khokhar obtained multiple hearing dates and submitted requests for adjournments but failed to present any substantial evidence in his favor.
Barrister Haris Azmat represented the Federal Minister of Information before the Election Tribunal. Due to the lack of evidence and the petition’s non-maintainable nature, the tribunal rejected the electoral challenge. Prime Minister’s political coordinator, Syed Tasif Shah, was also present during the proceedings.
