Islamabad (Turkiye News) — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of issues related to the purchase and sale of wheat in the country and formed a special cabinet committee to address the matter.
A federal cabinet meeting chaired by the Prime Minister was held at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad, where recommendations regarding the Hajj Policy 2027–2030 were presented. The cabinet approved the recommendations and directed that an effective accountability mechanism be established for the Ministry of Religious Affairs and private Hajj operators to ensure full protection of pilgrims’ rights.
The cabinet also approved handing over the construction of an affordable housing project for low-income families in Farash Town Islamabad to the Capital Development Authority.
During the meeting, approval was also granted for departmental promotion examinations for various positions in Pakistan Customs to be conducted through the Federal Public Service Commission.
The federal cabinet further ratified decisions made by the legislative committee and directed consultation with the Economic Coordination Committee regarding proposed amendments to tobacco advertising regulations.
