Stockholm (Turkiah News): A colorful and dignified ceremony was organized in the Swedish city of Gothenburg by the Azerbaijan Karabakh Center to mark World Azerbaijani Solidarity Day and the New Year. A large number of members of the Azerbaijani community residing in Gothenburg and nearby cities participated in the event.
The purpose of the gathering was to promote national unity, mutual solidarity, and shared cultural heritage among Azerbaijanis living abroad. The program was inaugurated by young activists Masuma Rustamli and Gulnisa Ibrahimova, who highlighted the national importance of December 31 and its symbolic significance within the diaspora.
Speaking at the ceremony, Olvia Najafova, Head of the Azerbaijan Karabakh Center and Gothenburg Coordinator of the Azerbaijanis Coordination Council in Sweden, emphasized the importance of passing the spirit of national identity and unity on to the younger generation to preserve Azerbaijani values and traditions while living abroad.
During the event, traditional Azerbaijani music was performed, children presented folk dances, and patriotic poems were recited. Gifts were distributed among children at the end of the program, concluding the ceremony in a joyful and festive atmosphere.
Organizers stated that such events play a vital role in bringing the Azerbaijani diaspora closer while promoting national culture and solidarity.
