Baku (Turkiye Khabar) A significant and expanded-level meeting was held between Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, during which detailed discussions were held on bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields.
President Aliyev said during the meeting that excellent discussions were held between both sides and that the Italian Prime Minister’s visit will play an important role in the development of strategic bilateral relations. He added that Azerbaijan and Italy share friendly relations that will continue to strengthen further.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said that her visit to Azerbaijan is an honor, as the country is an important partner for Italy. She expressed surprise that no Italian Prime Minister had visited Azerbaijan since 2013, calling this visit highly necessary.
She added that extensive cooperation already exists between the two countries in energy, infrastructure, connectivity, and cultural sectors, and that this partnership will continue to grow further.
