Azerbaijan: Historic Return of 332 People as Resettlement in Liberated Areas Accelerates

Baku (Turkey News) The return of displaced citizens to Azerbaijan’s liberated territories is continuing rapidly under a government program described as the “Great Return.”

According to directives from President Ilham Aliyev, displaced families are being gradually resettled in their ancestral homes. The process includes transferring families currently living in temporary shelters, sanatoriums, and government buildings back to their original areas.

Officials said that in the latest phase, 332 people belonging to 92 families have been relocated to the city of Aghdam.

Returning citizens expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the facilities provided by the government.

They also paid tribute to the Azerbaijani armed forces, saying their sacrifices made the liberation of their lands possible.

Authorities said the resettlement process will continue in phases to ensure all displaced people are returned to their native regions.
