Ankara (Turkey Khabar): Despite ongoing regional tensions, another Turkish-owned vessel has safely passed through the Strait of Hormuz, bringing the total number of safely transiting ships to three.
Turkish Transport Minister stated that a cargo ship carrying crude oil from Iraq to Malaysia successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz with the help of diplomatic coordination.
He added that several Turkish-owned vessels are still present around the strait, many of which have requested permission to depart, while efforts are ongoing to ensure the safe passage of these ships and their crews.
Authorities said that relevant institutions are closely monitoring the situation in the region and taking necessary measures to ensure maritime safety.
It is worth noting that rising tensions in the region have disrupted maritime transport, while restrictions on movement through the Strait of Hormuz have also impacted global trade and energy supply.
