Baku (Turkey News) – On the streets of Baku, the most visible waste bins in recent years are the two-colored containers: orange and green. Residents have become accustomed to placing recyclable items such as plastic, glass, metal, and paper in the orange bins, while household waste is disposed of in the green bins. Some people even sort their waste into separate bags at home so that each bag can be placed in the appropriate container, making it easier for garbage collection vehicles.
However, some citizens report that in certain areas, garbage trucks collect all types of waste together without distinction. This often leaves residents questioning: "Am I doing this correctly?"
The concern arises because if the separation system is truly effective and organized, why do people sometimes see waste being collected into a single truck?
Experts explain that due to administrative or logistical reasons, separated waste may temporarily be collected in the same vehicle. However, this does not indicate the failure or end of the system. Citizens are encouraged to continue practicing waste separation so that the system can function effectively.
