Washington (Monitoring Desk) – The United States has lifted sanctions on Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez. Media reports indicate that the Trump administration has established close contacts with the former vice president and ally of Maduro, Delcy.
U.S. energy and interior secretaries have been sent on visits to Venezuela with potential investors, discussing reforms in oil sales and mining sectors to attract foreign investment.
In March, the U.S. formally recognized Delcy Rodríguez as Venezuela’s leader, enabling the reopening of embassies and consulates in the U.S. and gaining control over Venezuelan-owned companies abroad.
Delcy Rodríguez welcomed the move, describing it as an important step toward normalizing and strengthening relations between the two countries.
