Ankara (Türkiye News) Turkish Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler held an important meeting with his Belgian counterpart Theo Francken, during which defense cooperation and bilateral relations were discussed.
According to the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, the Belgian minister was formally welcomed at the ministry with military protocol, where the national anthems of both countries were played, followed by an honor guard inspection by the visiting minister.
Later, the two defense ministers held a closed-door meeting in which various defense-related issues were discussed in detail.
At the end of the meeting, a letter of intent (memorandum of understanding) was signed between the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, the Presidency of Defense Industries, and the Belgian Ministry of Defense.
