Türkiye and Belgium Agree to Expand Cooperation in Trade, Defense, and Energy

Ankara (Türkiye News) Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz has said that Türkiye and Belgium are committed to expanding cooperation in various fields, including trade, defense, energy, and digital transformation.

He made these remarks in a statement following his meeting with Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot, who was in Ankara as part of Belgium’s economic mission led by Queen Mathilde of Belgium.

Cevdet Yılmaz said that relations between Türkiye and Belgium, both NATO allies, are gaining new momentum in areas such as trade, energy, connectivity, defense industry, and digital sectors.

He noted that in 2025, bilateral trade volume between the two countries reached 9.2 billion dollars, with a target to further increase it in the coming years.
