Brussels (Turkey News) EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib has said that she held a comprehensive meeting with Turkey’s Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, on key social policy issues.
In a statement on social media platform X, the EU commissioner said that the meeting covered detailed discussions on promoting equality, protecting children in the online environment, and providing assistance to victims after natural disasters.
She said that Turkey is an important partner and that the EU aims to further strengthen cooperation in protecting and empowering vulnerable groups.
During her visit to Brussels, Turkish Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş also held several high-level meetings focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation.
