Rawalpindi (Turkiye News): A meeting was held at General Headquarters between Syed Asim Munir and Metin Tokel, during which detailed discussions took place on bilateral defence cooperation and regional security matters.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Turkish Army Chief was presented with a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army upon his arrival.
During the meeting, both sides discussed defence relations between Pakistan and Türkiye, professional cooperation, and the regional security situation. Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the importance of the historic, cultural, and strategic ties between the two brotherly countries and appreciated the strong defence collaboration between their armed forces.
According to ISPR, General Metin Tokel also met Naveed Ashraf during his visit, where professional matters and the regional maritime security situation were discussed.
The Turkish Army Chief also visited Air Headquarters and met Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, where both sides exchanged views on mutual cooperation and professional affairs.
