Abidjan (Turkiye Khabar): According to Turkish diplomatic officials, Turkey’s business community is rapidly expanding its presence in Côte d’Ivoire, driven by political stability, a secure business environment, and strong economic growth in the country.
The Turkish ambassador said that Côte d’Ivoire is considered one of the key economies in West Africa and is now becoming an important hub for Turkish investment, with growing cooperation in sectors such as construction, energy, agriculture, food, textiles, logistics, and industry.
He noted that around 100 Turkish businesspeople are currently active in the country and are exploring new investment opportunities, while bilateral trade between the two countries has already exceeded 1.5 billion dollars.
The ambassador said that relations between Turkey and Côte d’Ivoire are at an excellent level, with continuous high-level contacts between both sides, and the Turkish president also enjoys strong popularity in the African region.
He added that cooperation is expanding across political, agricultural, health, trade, and defense sectors, with several agreements further strengthening bilateral ties.
According to him, Turkish investment has increased significantly, including projects in cement, construction materials, cocoa processing, and the chemical industry, with further investment expected in the future.
The ambassador also said that multiple business activities are being organized this year, while Côte d’Ivoire has presented its development plan for 2026–2030, inviting foreign investors to participate.
He further stated that Côte d’Ivoire has become an attractive destination for global investors, with various countries showing strong interest in its development potential.
