Turkey (Turkey News): Burhaneddin Duran, Head of Turkey’s Communications Department, described the ceasefire and full integration agreement in Syria as an important step toward President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s vision of a “terror-free region.”
Duran stated that strict monitoring will be maintained over the terms of the agreement, reflecting years of Erdogan’s principled policies and warnings. He emphasized that lasting stability in Syria is possible when all ethnic and sectarian groups enjoy equal rights, and that a Syria preserving its territorial integrity and free of terrorist organizations is crucial for regional peace.
He highlighted the significance of Syrian government efforts and noted that Turkey is a strong actor both on the ground and at the negotiating table. Operations against terrorist groups are helping establish secure zones along Turkey’s borders, while diplomatic efforts contribute to shaping Syria’s future. Duran stressed that Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty are indispensable for Turkey, and that Ankara prioritizes peace and stability in its policy framework.
