Istanbul (Turkey News Desk)SAHA Istanbul officials have said that around 8 billion dollars worth of export agreements are expected during the SAHA 2026 International Defense, Aviation and Space Exhibition.
Speaking at the event held at the Istanbul Expo Center, Haluk Görgün, head of Türkiye’s Defence Industries Secretariat, said that a large number of defense companies, international delegations and industrial partners are participating in the exhibition.
According to him, nearly 121,000 square meters of exhibition space is being utilized this year, with around 200 delegations and more than 800 official representatives taking part.
He added that when the exhibition started in 2018, it covered only 5,000 square meters with 180 companies, but now it has become one of Europe’s largest defense and industrial exhibitions, hosting participation from 121 countries and more than 100,000 visitors.
Görgün said that this year the exhibition layout follows a “green road” model, where major Turkish defense companies are placed in central areas, while subcontractors and industrial partners are positioned around them.
Organizers said the event will continue until the weekend and is expected to open new avenues for global trade and technological partnerships for Türkiye’s defense industry.
