Ankara (Turkey News): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan officially welcomed Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ankara, where the two leaders held a high-level meeting.
During the discussions, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to increase bilateral trade to $5 billion and agreed to expand cooperation across various sectors.
Following the talks, Presidents Erdoğan and Tinubu oversaw the signing of nine bilateral agreements covering defense, energy, education, media, and diaspora policy. The agreements aim to strengthen institutional cooperation and promote economic and strategic partnership between the two nations.
The leaders also discussed practical steps to achieve the $5 billion trade target, including the potential establishment of a Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) to remove trade barriers and boost investment opportunities.
