Riyadh (Turkey News) – Turkey has stressed the need for a united and coordinated approach under the global coalition against ISIS in Syria and highlighted the importance of strengthening Syria’s counterterrorism capabilities.
This position was articulated by Turkey’s Deputy Foreign Minister Müsi̇ Kolaklı Kaya during a meeting of political directors from the global coalition against ISIS. He stated that the ceasefire and integration processes must be completed in the context of preserving Syria’s territorial integrity and unity.
Kolaklı Kaya further emphasized that Syria should be recognized as the sole legitimate party in the fight against ISIS and that a coordinated, comprehensive approach within the coalition framework is essential to achieve lasting security outcomes in the region. He added that enhancing Syria’s counterterrorism capacities will ensure sustained effectiveness against the group and improve the coordination of political and military efforts by global partners.
