Turkey and Qatar Foreign Ministers Discuss Iran–US Talks

Istanbul (Turkiye News Desk): Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, during which detailed discussions were held on ongoing talks between Iran and the United States.

According to sources from the Turkish Foreign Ministry, both leaders reviewed the current status of negotiations between Tehran and Washington, as well as the progress made so far, and exchanged views on the positions of the respective sides. However, no further details of the conversation were released.

The report added that tensions in the Middle East have persisted since February 28, when the United States and Israel reportedly began joint operations against Iran, affecting key maritime routes and energy infrastructure.

The situation has contributed to rising prices of oil, gas, and fuel, raising concerns over global inflation, supply disruptions, and increasing economic pressure worldwide.
