Ankara (Turkiye Khabar) Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a telephone conversation on Friday with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
According to diplomatic sources, both leaders discussed the latest situation regarding the ongoing negotiation process between Iran and the United States. The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the conversation also covered the overall regional tensions and diplomatic efforts.
Reports suggest that Pakistan played an important role in facilitating a ceasefire during the Iran conflict involving the United States and Israel on April 8, and later also helped pave the way for peace talks in Islamabad.
Although the ceasefire is still in place, diplomatic efforts to permanently resolve the conflict are continuing at various levels.
