Istanbul (Turkiye Khabar) Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a telephone conversation with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, during which regional and global developments were discussed in detail.
According to Turkey’s Communications Directorate, President Erdogan said in the conversation that Turkey is playing an active role in establishing peace and stability in the region, particularly in Iran, Gaza, and the Horn of Africa.
He said that diplomatic opportunities emerging between the United States and Iran should be fully utilized, and it is the responsibility of the international community to prevent any sabotage of this process.
President Erdogan also emphasized the importance of the effective functioning of UN missions in Syria and stated that Turkey will continue to support this process.
The discussion also covered the latest situation in Cyprus, as well as the humanitarian crises in Gaza and Lebanon.
