Washington (Monitoring Desk) U.S. President Donald Trump has indicated the possibility of resuming military action against Iran after the end of the ceasefire.
Speaking to the media at the Oval Office, President Trump said he does not believe there is an immediate need for a ceasefire, but added that such a decision could be made depending on the situation.
He said that sanctions on Iran are proving effective and that Iran has been deprived of oil sales. According to him, Iran wants to make a deal, while its economy is under severe pressure.
President Trump claimed that a large number of Iranian missile factories have already been destroyed and that Iran cannot be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.
He also raised concerns about Iran’s leadership, saying there is no clear situation regarding its actual command structure.
During the conversation, President Trump said Iran should be allowed to participate in the FIFA World Cup.
He also once again referred to alleged tensions between Pakistan and India, claiming that he had played a role in stopping several wars in the past, and that aircraft were shot down during clashes between the two countries.
According to Trump, global oil and gas prices will decline once the situation with Iran improves.
