Washington (Monitoring Desk) US President Donald Trump has advised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to avoid a full-scale war against Lebanon.
According to American media, President Trump said that Israel should limit its actions in Lebanon to targeted and surgical strikes and avoid restarting a full-scale war.
In a telephonic interview, the US president made it clear that Washington does not want the ongoing tensions in Lebanon to escalate into a full-scale war, as it could have serious consequences for the region.
The report also stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump held a telephonic conversation in which various global issues, including Iran’s nuclear program and the war in Ukraine, were discussed.
According to the Kremlin, during the discussion the Russian president presented his proposals on Iran’s nuclear issue and stressed the need for a diplomatic solution to the current situation.
A Kremlin spokesperson said the purpose of the contact was to promote global peace prospects and bring stability, particularly in energy markets, while both leaders agreed to continue cooperation in the future.
