Washington (Monitoring Desk): US President Donald Trump has said that a proposed agreement with Iran could be signed by the end of the week or by Monday.
In an interview with a US news website, President Trump described the recent statement by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi as positive and said that progress between the two countries is encouraging. He also claimed that Iran had privately apologized for the release of certain misleading information.
According to reports, the proposed agreement has received approval at a high level in Iran, although differing reports continue to emerge regarding its final ratification.
President Trump had earlier rejected alleged details of the agreement published in Iranian media, stating that they had no connection to the actual agreed terms and that the information circulating in the media was inaccurate.
It is worth noting that the US President recently shared a statement by Abbas Araghchi in which progress on a memorandum of understanding between the two sides was described as extraordinary.
An official announcement from both countries is still awaited, while the reported progress is being viewed internationally as an important development for peace and stability in the region.
