Tehran (Monitoring Desk) Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati, adviser on foreign affairs to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has said that the “nightmare” that Western strategies have feared for years is now turning into reality.
According to media reports, Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati stated on social media that the change feared by the West is now emerging.
He said that Iran is becoming stronger and the strategic map of the region is being reshaped. According to him, US President Donald Trump is now in need of a temporary agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which proves that the policy of “pressure on Iran” is heading toward failure and the influence of resistance forces is increasing.
He further said that those hoping for compromise in the region are making a major strategic mistake, as weakening the resistance front cannot establish a new balance of power.
Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati said that sustainable peace is only possible through a balance of power rather than diplomatic promises, while relying on unrealistic expectations could have serious consequences.
