Tennessee Player Announces Departure from Team

Baku (Sports Desk): Reserve guard Kiaya Wynn has announced that she is leaving the Tennessee women’s basketball program, stating that last week’s senior day experience was “too much” for her.

Lady Vols lost their regular-season finale 87-77 to No. 5 Vanderbilt. Wynn, who did not play in the game, participated in only nine matches this season, while the 2024-25 season was completely lost due to an Achilles tendon injury.

A Tennessee resident and five-year program member, Wynn had hoped to play her final night as a starter but was told she would enter the game with just 15 seconds remaining. She wrote on social media, “It definitely didn’t happen, and this is not how I wanted to spend my final moments.”

Wynn emphasized that her decision to leave was not made lightly.
