Strong condemnation of Israeli attacks on Gaza flotilla by 12 countries

Istanbul (Turkey News) Foreign ministers of 12 countries, including Turkey, have strongly condemned Israeli attacks on the Global Sumud humanitarian flotilla carrying aid for Gaza, calling them a clear violation of international law.

In a joint statement, it was said that the flotilla was a peaceful civilian humanitarian initiative aimed at drawing global attention to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The statement included the foreign ministers of Turkey, Brazil, Jordan, Pakistan, Spain, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Colombia, Maldives, Mauritania, South Africa, and Libya.

The foreign ministers said that attacks on aid vessels in international waters and the unlawful detention of humanitarian workers constitute a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian principles.

They expressed deep concern over the safety of civilian activists and demanded the immediate release of those detained by Israeli authorities.

The statement also urged the international community to fulfill its moral and legal responsibilities to uphold international law, protect civilians, and hold violators accountable.
