Azerbaijan (Commerce Desk) SOCAR Turkey, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR), and TAV Airports have elevated their existing strategic cooperation to a new level this year.
Under the agreement, SOCAR Turkey will now supply natural gas to facilities at Ankara Esenboğa Airport. The deal was finalized between Fuad Ibrahimov, Head of the Natural Gas Business Unit at SOCAR Turkey, and Mete Ernan, Group Head for Airports at TAV Airports.
This new phase, supported under a fixed-price contract, is designed to strengthen supply security while enhancing operational continuity and cost predictability for TAV Airports. By integrating these facilities into SOCAR Turkey’s aggregation portfolio, the partnership ensures not only electricity and natural gas supply but also efficient management of cogeneration facilities.
