Karachi (Showbiz Desk): The year 2025 proved to be both memorable and sorrowful for the Pakistani showbiz industry. During this period, several well-known actors and artists passed away, while some personalities continued their journey of success.
Among the most shocking events in the showbiz circles this year were the tragic deaths of veteran actress Ayesha Khan and actress Humaira Asghar. Ayesha Khan’s body, several days old, was found on June 20 in her flat in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, while Humaira Asghar’s nearly nine-month-old body was recovered from a flat in Defence on July 8. Police investigations concluded that both deaths were natural.
Earlier in the year, comedian Javed Kodo passed away in April 2025 after a prolonged illness. Renowned film and TV artists Lucky Dear, Anwar Ali, and former actress Humaira Abid also left us in the same year.
In addition, respected film producer Chaudhry Kamran Ijaz passed away on November 4, 2025, due to a brain hemorrhage, while senior film writer Mohammad Kamal Pasha passed away on October 3 after a long illness. Mohammad Kamal Pasha had written scripts for over 300 films, creating stories that explored social issues, love, moral decline, and death.
The loss of these personalities in 2025 has been irreplaceable for the showbiz industry. Their talent, dedication, and contributions will always be remembered.
