Istanbul (Turkiye News) In Istanbul, Baykar Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar has said that global technology companies are promoting a new era of “techno-capitalist dominance” through modern consumer software and artificial intelligence, which could pose a threat to national sovereignty and independent decision-making.
He said that AI-based platforms create algorithmic “loops” that exploit user behavior, and through this process they have the potential to influence state sovereignty.
According to Selçuk Bayraktar, this situation is not merely a technological issue but an important challenge linked to national security and state sovereignty, requiring serious consideration.
He warned that if this trend is not controlled, digital platforms in the future could have an extraordinary influence on societal decisions and behavior.
