Russia Expresses Deep Concern Over U.S. and Israeli Actions Against Iran

Moscow (Monitoring Desk): Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has expressed serious concern over the unprecedented tensions in the Middle East and the U.S. and Israeli actions against Iran, stating that these developments are creating severe regional instability with no military solution in sight. She emphasized that political and diplomatic channels should be prioritized over the use of force.

During her weekly press briefing, Zakharova described the so-called Iranian threat as a self-created and exaggerated narrative, used to justify long-standing plans to forcibly change Iran’s constitutional system. She noted that Washington openly advocates regime change in Iran, which amounts to interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state.

Zakharova further stated that the irresponsible actions of the U.S. and Israel violate international law and are dragging the entire Middle East into chaos. Attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities could weaken the global non-proliferation system and pose real, serious radiological risks.

She claimed that Iran’s leadership maintains control over the internal political situation, preventing unrest or a humanitarian crisis, while the U.S. and Israel themselves are uncertain how long the tensions around Iran will continue. Initially, it was claimed that objectives had been achieved, but now operations may continue for an indefinite period.
