Islamabad (Turkey News) — Pakistan Peoples Party Member National Assembly and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Rights Agha Rafiullah has revealed that several Pakistani citizens are imprisoned in extremely harsh conditions in Cambodia.
He has sent a letter to Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch expressing serious concern over the situation, stating that the condition of Pakistani prisoners in Cambodian jails is unsatisfactory.
Agha Rafiullah demanded that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs take immediate diplomatic steps to ensure the release and safe repatriation of these citizens. He also provided information regarding videos of the detained Pakistanis to the Foreign Secretary.
He further said that Pakistan’s mediatory role in reducing tensions between the United States and Iran is commendable, and appreciated the government’s efforts for global peace.
