Islamabad (Turkiye News): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that the role of the Federal Constabulary is extremely important in maintaining law and order and conducting operations against terrorism in the country.
The Interior Minister visited the Federal Constabulary Training Centre in Shabqadar, where he reviewed the force’s operational preparedness and professional training programs. On the occasion, training activities of the Special Protection Unit and the Riot Control Unit were also inspected.
Praising the modern training being provided to personnel, Mohsin Naqvi said that the Special Protection Unit is being developed into a modern and well-organized force on the lines of those in developed countries, capable of providing international-standard security to foreign guests.
He stated that foreign experts are being engaged for the training of personnel, while opportunities for overseas training will also be provided. In addition, efforts are being made to enhance the educational capacity of personnel and improve their proficiency in international languages.
According to the Interior Minister, the Federal Constabulary is being further strengthened and professionalized to effectively meet future security challenges.
He also directed personnel to focus on physical fitness, the use of modern weapons, and driving skills. Furthermore, he issued instructions for the procurement of modern riot-control equipment, the provision of better facilities in residential barracks, and the construction of a gymnasium and swimming pool.
