Islamabad (Turkey Khabar): Pakistan’s Foreign Office has rejected as misleading and sensational a foreign media report regarding the presence of Iranian aircraft at Nur Khan Airbase. In a statement issued by the spokesperson, it was clarified that such speculative reports are tantamount to undermining efforts for peace and stability in the region.
According to the statement, after the ceasefire and during the initial phase of talks in Islamabad, several aircraft from Iran and the United States arrived in Pakistan to facilitate the movement of diplomatic staff, security teams, and administrative personnel.
The Foreign Office stated that some aircraft and supporting staff remained in Pakistan temporarily in anticipation of upcoming negotiations; however, this had no connection with any kind of military emergency or security measures.
According to the spokesperson, although a new round of formal talks has not yet begun, high-level diplomatic contacts are ongoing, and in this context, the same administrative facilities were used for the visits of the Iranian Foreign Minister.
The statement further said that Pakistan has always played the role of a neutral and responsible facilitator and continues to support serious diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the region. The spokesperson reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to play its positive role in promoting peace, stability, and security in the future.
