Islamabad (Turkiye News) The Government of Pakistan has strongly rejected reports circulating in Afghan media and by certain officials regarding alleged attacks in Kunar, terming them baseless and misleading.
In a statement issued on social media, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that the news being spread about alleged attacks in Kunar is part of a negative propaganda campaign and has no connection with reality.
According to the ministry, these reports are being backed by certain Indian elements with the aim of fueling tensions in the region.
The Fact Check Unit stated in its response that the Afghan Taliban government is resorting to misinformation and hostile narratives to cover up internal issues and shortcomings in public service delivery.
The statement further added that the allegations leveled against Pakistan are unfounded and absurd, and are strongly rejected.
