Lahore (Turkiye News) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, in her special message on the occasion of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, paid rich tribute to the services of volunteers and relief workers associated with the Red Crescent.
She said that this international day, celebrated under the theme “Keeping Humanity Alive,” symbolizes the promotion of public service, brotherhood, and humanitarian values.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that welfare organizations like the Pakistan Red Crescent Society are playing an important role in helping affected people during natural disasters, climate change, and emergency situations.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that the Punjab government is taking serious steps to establish an effective, organized, and comprehensive system for public welfare, while support for weaker and deserving sections of society remains the government’s top priority.
She further said that volunteers serving humanity are a valuable asset to any society, and collective efforts are essential for building a safe, strong, and prosperous Pakistan.
