Istanbul (Turkey Khabar): Queen Mathilde has departed from Istanbul after completing her visit to Türkiye.
According to official sources, she left Istanbul on Tuesday after a three-day visit to the country. Turkish officials saw her off at Atatürk Airport upon her departure.
During her visit, Queen Mathilde attended several high-level meetings and events in Istanbul. She met First Lady Emine Erdoğan at the Presidential Complex and later also held talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
She also met Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat and participated in a business forum and high-level business meetings aimed at promoting economic cooperation between Türkiye and Belgium.
During the visit, she also toured the Istanbul Finance Center campus of the Central Bank of Türkiye, the Özdemir Bayraktar National Technology Center of defense company Baykar, as well as various cultural and industrial sites, including historical and military museums and other important locations across the city.
The visit is being viewed as an important step in strengthening industrial ties, technology cooperation, women’s economic participation, and overall economic collaboration between Türkiye and Belgium.
