Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif meets Pakistani astronauts, calls space mission a national milestone

Islamabad (Turkey News) Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met Pakistani astronauts Khurram Daud and Muhammad Zeeshan Ali, who are part of a human space mission.

SPARCO astronaut attaché Hasnain Iftikhar was also present during the meeting.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, Chairman SUPARCO, and Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong also attended the meeting.

The Prime Minister expressed happiness over meeting the two young astronauts and said that their participation in space research is an important milestone for Pakistan and a matter of pride for the entire nation. He said that these astronauts will write a new chapter in Pakistan’s history.

He appreciated their hard work and dedication, saying that their day and night efforts are commendable. The Prime Minister stated that this space journey with China’s cooperation will further strengthen the brotherly relations between the two countries.

While speaking with the Chinese ambassador, the Prime Minister said that cooperation between Pakistan and China in space research will take friendship to new heights. The Chinese ambassador also welcomed bilateral cooperation in space research.
