Islamabad (Turkiye Khabar) Pakistan’s bishops have invited the spiritual leader of Catholic Christians, Pope Leo, to visit Pakistan, while it has also been reported that the Pope has shown interest in the visit.
The Pakistani bishops met Pope Leo in Vatican City and briefed him about the current situation of churches and the Christian community in Pakistan.
President of the Pakistan Catholic Bishops Conference and Bishop of Hyderabad, Samson Shukardin, said that the meeting was highly encouraging and that the Pope expressed good wishes for a better future for Christians in Pakistan.
He further stated that gifts were also exchanged during the meeting as a gesture of mutual goodwill.
