Lahore (Turkiye Khabar) The process of expelling foreign nationals residing illegally in Punjab is continuing, while the Punjab Police have so far deported more than thirty-five thousand Afghan nationals and other illegal foreigners from Lahore and across the province.
According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, one hundred and sixty-three individuals are currently present in temporary holding centers, and after the completion of legal formalities, they will also be sent back to their respective countries.
Police officials stated that those deported include thirteen thousand seven hundred and twenty-eight men, seven thousand and forty-eight women, and fourteen thousand three hundred and sixty-six children.
According to the statistics, ten thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight individuals possessed residence documents, while eleven thousand one hundred and thirty-one people held Afghan Citizen Cards. In addition, thirteen thousand one hundred and thirteen illegal foreign nationals were also deported.
Inspector General of Punjab Abdul Karim directed authorities across the province to further strengthen security and said that the deportation of all individuals residing illegally would be ensured at all costs. He added that Punjab Police are implementing this policy in accordance with international laws and that all actions are being carried out within the framework of the law.
