PCB and ICC in Talks Over Pakistan-India T20 World Cup Match

Lahore (Turkiya News): Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, is currently in discussions with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and a delegation from the Bangladesh Cricket Board regarding the upcoming Pakistan-India match in the T20 World Cup, with significant developments expected in the next few hours.

Sources indicate that during the meeting at Qaddafi Stadium, the PCB chairman will set strict conditions for playing the match against India. Discussions with Bangladesh will focus on financial support and hosting ICC events. PCB is also expected to push for a higher revenue share from the match, the revival of bilateral series, and other key matters.

ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khawaja is present in the meeting to oversee matters related to the Pakistan-India match. Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s support and is scheduled to return to Dhaka in the evening.

It is noteworthy that due to threats from Hindu extremists and security concerns, Bangladesh had requested to hold T20 World Cup matches in Sri Lanka instead of India. The ICC rejected the request and subsequently excluded Bangladesh from the tournament.
