Pakistan Strongly Condemns Life Sentence of Asia Andrabi

Islamabad (Turkey News): Pakistan’s Foreign Office has strongly condemned and outright rejected the life imprisonment sentence handed to Kashmiri leader and Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Asia Andrabi, along with 30-year sentences for her associates Fahmida Sofi and Naheed Nasreen.

According to the Foreign Office, the Delhi court’s decision was issued under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and contradicts the principles of justice. The ruling reflects ongoing violations of fundamental rights in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

The spokesperson stated that Pakistan views this decision as part of a broader series of politically motivated cases aimed at silencing dissenting voices and intimidating those advocating for the legitimate rights of the Kashmiri people. The verdict raises serious questions regarding transparent legal processes, judicial independence, and international human rights standards.
