Rawalpindi (Turkiye News) According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, a joint counter-terrorism exercise “Shake Hands-II” between Pakistan and Sri Lanka has commenced in Tarbela. ISPR stated that the bilateral exercise will continue for two weeks, with participation from the Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group and the Sri Lankan Army’s Special Forces.
According to the spokesperson, the primary objective of the exercise is to further enhance professional capabilities through joint training and to improve expertise in the field of counter-terrorism. ISPR added that the exercise will also help strengthen the longstanding military relations between the two friendly countries.
The spokesperson further said that participating troops will exchange their practical experiences and skills related to counter-terrorism operations, which will enhance mutual coordination.
