Azerbaijan (Sports Desk): Azerbaijani fencers delivered an impressive performance at the Open Fencing Tournament held in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, winning two bronze medals. According to the Azerbaijan Fencing Federation, Maqsud Huseynli secured a bronze medal in the senior sabre competition, while Farah Abbasova finished third in the junior sabre event.
In the men’s sabre competition, Rasul Aliyev placed seventh among 60 competitors, Timur Hasandinov finished twelfth, and Nahid Mohammadli secured the twenty-second position.
In the women’s events, Valentina Zeynalova narrowly missed out on a medal and finished fifth. Leyli Ahmadova placed eleventh, Ayan Aghasiyeva thirteenth, Zuleykha Sultanli twentieth, Jahan Sadiqova twenty-fourth, and Irina Lobas finished twenty-seventh.
