Lahore (Turkey News): Punjab Provincial Minister for Information Azma Bukhari has alleged that despite half of Ramadan having passed, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has not yet started distributing the Ramadan package.
According to Bukhari, the Punjab government has already transferred aid under the Ramadan Nighban program to 3 million people, a number expected to reach 4 million in the coming days. She added that daily Iftar meals are being provided to millions through Maryam Nawaz’s initiatives, continuing support for the needy.
Bukhari claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has only requested lists from national and provincial assembly members but has not practically begun distribution. She further alleged that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, as in previous years, would allocate 1 billion PKR of the Ramadan package to party workers.
The provincial minister also said that officials Mazamil Aslam and Sohail Afridi are unaware of the aid distribution, while the government’s attention remains focused on a single inmate in Adiala Jail, neglecting public issues.
