Rawalpindi (Turkey News) – In response to the rising number of drug-related cases, a new court has been established in Rawalpindi.
According to sources, a suitable room has been selected in the old district court for the new setup. The existing anti-narcotics court currently has 653 cases pending, highlighting the need for an additional court. The new court will be designated as Anti-Narcotics Special Court No. 2.
Senior District and Sessions Judge Raja Ghazanfar will serve as the judge of the new court, while Zia Kayani has been appointed as the prosecutor. Staff appointments for the court are expected to be completed today.
Officials stated that the new court will become operational within two days this week and will handle trials of all ANF cases registered across the Rawalpindi division.
