Islamabad (Türkiye News) A budget airline of the United Arab Emirates has announced the suspension of its flights to three major Pakistani cities — Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar — until October 26, 2026, due to operational issues.
According to a private TV report, the airline administration stated that flight operations to other Pakistani cities, including Karachi, Sialkot, Multan, Faisalabad, and Quetta, will continue as usual.
Airline officials said that the process of refunding tickets for affected passengers has already begun, while, for passenger convenience, the option of rebooking on other airlines is also being provided so that travelers do not face difficulties.
The report stated that Gulf aviation operations are facing serious challenges due to the ongoing tense situation in the region. During last March, passenger traffic at Dubai International Airport recorded a decline of up to 66 percent, the effects of which have also impacted the strategies of airlines.
According to economic experts, the decision by Gulf airlines to limit operations in view of regional tensions is a worrying development. It has not only affected passengers’ travel planning but has also restricted access to Dubai for Pakistani expatriates. Experts say that flights on these routes are likely to be restored once conditions improve.
